Not at all bad, acoustic pop, singer/songwriter music, that could perhaps be described as a stripped-down and introverted Bruce Springsteen. Simple songs, simple arrangements, hard to pull off, but at times Roger Holzheimer manages with excellence. "Right Woman, Wrong Time", short and straightforward, not making anything unnecessarily complicated. Beautiful...

Begin jaren 80 stond ik mede aan de wieg van de eerste lokale omroep in Haarlemmermeer: VLOH. Jaren heb ik mij bij die omroep bezig gehouden met het sportprogramma, maar een muziekprogramma wilde ik er graag bij doen. Na een faillissement van deze eerste lokale omroep, was het wachten op een nieuwe mogelijkheid. Sinds een aantal jaren is Meerradio nu ‘de stem’ van en in Haarlemmermeer. Het bestuur van Meerradio zorgt er samen met de vele vrijwilligers, stationmanager en programmaleider voor, dat er een evenwichtig en gevarieerd programma te beluisteren valt. De zender is op de kabel in Haarlemmermeer te beluisteren op 89.0 Mhz en daarnaast op FM 105.5 Mhz en 106.6 Mhz. Het programma Good No(i)se is een van de vele programma’s. De naam is ontleend aan een song van John Gorka. Alleen de letter ‘i’ wordt bewust tussen haakjes geplaatst. Het programma heeft een aantal vaste ijkpunten. Zo is er altijd ruimte voor een debuut, een klassieker en een bluesmoment. Het 4e nummer van de playlist geeft altijd een plek aan een Nederlandse band of singer-songwriter. Het programma Good No(i)se mag zich in een steeds bredere belangstelling verheugen.

Een muziekprogramma dat bol staat van ‘eerlijke, pure’ muziek. Het programma waarbij aandacht is voor: Americana, (Alt)-Country, Roots, Blues, Folk en Singer-Songwriters.
